Pida Technologies Limited is the data controller for personal data collected through Ijele. This policy explains what we collect, why, and your rights.

What we collect and why

• Account details (email address, password, player name, optional profile picture) — to create and run your account. Legal basis: performing our contract with you.
• Game progress (chapters unlocked, scores, best times, journal finds, coin purchases) — to save your progress, show the leaderboard and add bought coins. Legal basis: contract.
• Technical data (IP address, device and browser information, basic logs) — to keep the game secure and fix problems. Legal basis: our legitimate interests.
• Messages you send us — to answer support requests. Legal basis: legitimate interests.

Guests who don't sign in keep progress only on their own device; we do not receive it.

Public information

Your player name, profile picture, scores and times appear on the public leaderboard.

Who we share data with

• Service providers that host and run the game for us.
• Paddle.com, our Merchant of Record, for selling coin packs, processing payments, tax compliance and invoicing.
• Professional advisers (legal, accounting) where needed.
• Authorities, where the law requires it.

How long we keep it

We keep account data while your account is active. When it is no longer needed, or you ask us to delete your account, we delete or anonymise it, except records we must keep by law (for example, purchase records).

Your rights

Under the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023 and other laws that apply to you, you can ask to access, correct, delete or move your data, object to or restrict processing, and withdraw consent. You can also complain to the Nigeria Data Protection Commission or your local data protection authority.

Security

We use appropriate technical and organisational measures, including encrypted connections, access controls and private storage for profile pictures.

Storage on your device

The game stores progress, sound settings and your sign-in session in your browser's local storage. These are essential for the game to work; we do not use advertising cookies.

International transfers

Our service providers may process data outside Nigeria. Where they do, we rely on appropriate safeguards.
